The M-Audio GForce Virtual String Machine 1.0 is a software instrument program emulating string synthesizers that can be used as a standalone program or plug-in hosted by most popular studio applications.

The program provides users with a collection of vintage string synthesizers for their studios. Users benefit from having over 3,200 string samples to add to their sample libraries and recordings and 500+ patches. The individual samples are included within 60 Sample Sets. Samples included in the virtual String Machine 1.0 program have been recorded from over a dozen emulated string synthesizers including the Freeman String Symphonizer, Logan String Melody, Roland RS302 and Yamaha SS30. All of the string synthesizers included in the program provide variations between different notes for users.

The virtual String Machine 1.0 features layering of any two Sample Sets and users can apply synthesizer parameters to each layer, enabling them to produce different envelopes, pan positions, filter settings, pitch LFO and to fine tune amounts. Applying ensemble effects or adding vintage phaser effects to the final recordings of patches will add to the diverse sound varieties and infinite amounts of string samples that users can create with this program. Users can also apply an intuitive syntheses engine to each Sample Set.
